  • Let’s be clear: our first priority is always safety, and we never compromise it for costs.

    A close second is affordability. See our story on why we believe affordable housing is critical, regardless of your socioeconomic background, and how we achieve it.

    Essentially, it boils down to: production at scale, no extravagant R&D, a design philosophy with zero-excess and multi-purpose. Further, since many builders can only produce a limited number of houses, they’re incentivized to maximize their prices. We can make as many as you want :)

  • It should take 2 person 1-2 days. We’re always available to help!

  • Before it’s installed, a TinyBox will be in a 14” x 4” x 4” crate and can be moved on most trailers.

    After it’s installed: a TinyBox is 100” wide, which can be legally moved on the road using any 102’ deckover trailer and without any special permits.

  • At 107sf or 10 m2, TinyBox doesn’t require a permit to be installed in most jurisdictions. Please check with your local authorities to ensure full compliance.

  • Utilities hookup (electricity, water and sewage) usually costs $5k-$7k and weeks of contractor work, even if you already have it in the main house.

    TinyBox can be set everything up and ready to use within days, at a low cost. Guests can still use the main house for heavy power or water usage.

  • 90% of the time we spend at home is on the bed, in the kitchen, in front of a desk and dining table.

    It might only be 107sf but it feels 3 times the size on the inside as you can easily transform the room between a bedroom, kitchen, or office within seconds using TinyBox’s smart furniture.

  • We want it to make sure it fits anywhere and that it uses the least material possible

  • TinyBox is solid like a real house and insulated like a real house, with real 10” queen size mattress.

  • Airbnb renters: you could live a nomadic life using AirBnB, but the costs would be prohibitive for most.

    Airbnb host: we welcome you to rent out your TinyBox on AirBnB. It would pay for itself in no time!

    House-swap with other TinyBox owner: another option to travel the world at low cost would be to share your TinyBox with a select few trusted friends from the TinyBox community. As owners, you can be sure they will take care of your TinyBox.
